furrequently Asked Questions

What is cashmere?
Cashmere is a type of fine, soft wool that comes from the undercoat of the Cashmere goat. It is known for its warmth, softness, and durability.

What is modal?
Modal is a type of fabric that is made from beech tree pulp. It is known for its softness, drape, and moisture-wicking properties.

Cleaning your Wildlife Scarf?
Due to the fineness of the fabric we recommend  carefully hand washing your scarf in cold water with a mild, bleach free detergent. Lay it flat to dry. Avoid wringing or twisting the scarf, as this can cause it to stretch or lose its shape.  After washing lay your scarf flat on a colour-fast absorbent towel to dry in the shade. Wildlife Scarves should never be heat dried.

Can I wear my Wildlife Scarf in the summer?
Yes, cashmere and modal are both lightweight and breathable fabrics, making them suitable for wear in the summer. They can help to keep you warm in cool temperatures, but won't be too heavy or hot in warmer weather.

How do I style my Wildlife Scarf?
There are many ways to style your scarf. You can wrap it around your neck for a classic look, or drape it over your shoulders for a more casual feel. You can also tie it in a knot or loop it through the belt loops of your jeans for a trendy, bohemian look.

What is the difference between cashmere and wool?
Cashmere is finer, softer, and lighter than wool. It is also more expensive, due to the fact that it is harder to produce. Wool is made from the fur of sheep and other animals, while cashmere is made from the undercoat of Cashmere goats.

Is it possible for my scarf to shrink?
Yes, it is possible for a cashmere and modal scarf to shrink if it is not cared for properly. To prevent shrinkage, be sure to follow the care instructions and avoid exposing the scarf to high heat or moisture.

Cleaning Wildlife Scarves
Due to the fineness of the fabric we recommend Wildlife Scarves be dry-cleaned, however they may be carefully hand washed in cold water using a bleach free detergent.  After rinsing, the scarf should be gently squeezed into a ball before being laid flat on a colour-fast absorbent towel to dry in the shade. Wildlife Scarves should never be machine washed or heat dried.

Care of Wildlife Scarves
For convenience your the scarf may be folded and draped over a rail or coat hanger in the wardrobe. Creases will fall out when the scarf is draped.  Your scarf can be freshened by draping it out of direct sunlight on a clothesline. Care needs to be taken with jewelry, zips or other sharp objects as the delicate nature and weave of the fabric can make it vulnerable to snags and pulls. Wildlife Scarves should never be ironed or stored in sunlight.

These exquisite scarves are designed to be worn anywhere and at anytime. The perfect companion, a Wildlife Scarf will keep you warm when it's cold, protect you from the sun when it's hot and most importantly, a Wildlife Scarf will add style to whatever you wear.
