Wildlife Scarves are limited edition, lightweight, oversize, cashmere blend scarves featuring the superb wildlife photography of Warren and Jill Wilson as well as Kevin Deacon.
What are Wildlife Scarves made from?
Wildlife Scarves are produced from a fabric which is a blend of cashmere and modal. The 15% Cashmere in each scarf provides warmth without weight. Cashmere, is the soft downy under-fur of the cashmere goat. It is valued for being soft lightweight and breathable. Modal, is a strong and highly absorbent natural fibre sourced from the pure wood of the beech tree. Modal is a sustainable fibre and is known as one of the world's softest fibres. This unique combination of fibres results in a strong though delicate, luxuriously soft fabric which resists pilling, fading or shrinking.
Cleaning Wildlife Scarves
Due to the fineness of the fabric we recommend Wildlife Scarves be dry-cleaned, however they may be carefully hand washed in cold water using a bleach free detergent. After rinsing, the scarf should be gently squeezed into a ball before being laid flat on a colour-fast absorbent towel to dry in the shade. Wildlife Scarves should never be machine washed or heat dried.
Care of Wildlife Scarves
For convenience your the scarf may be folded and draped over a rail or coat hanger in the wardrobe. Creases will fall out when the scarf is draped. Your scarf can be freshened by draping it out of direct sunlight on a clothesline. Care needs to be taken with jewelry, zips or other sharp objects as the delicate nature and weave of the fabric can make it vulnerable to snags and pulls. Wildlife Scarves should never be ironed or stored in sunlight.
These exquisite scarves are designed to be worn anywhere and at anytime. The perfect companion, a Wildlife Scarf will keep you warm when it's cold, protect you from the sun when it's hot and most importantly, a Wildlife Scarf will add style to whatever you wear.
